About EDQuals

EDQuals is part of the EDLounge group of companies.

Established in 2008, the EDLounge group has focused on delivering distance learning to schools, academy trusts and local authorities.

The EDLounge platform has received multiple accolades for the effect it has had in transforming students’ learning experiences, and has been a BETT Awards finalist multiple times.

Built on the success of the teaching platform, EDQuals has been designed to deliver blended learning and qualifications in a secure and professional environment.

As well as giving individuals the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications, EDQuals also enables any business to build their own training, professional development and qualifications provision.

"Leaders successfully achieve their strategic goal of providing flexible training programmes through an approach that blends online learning with face-to-face support. Leaders and managers have high expectations for the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. They have a professional approach to developing teaching practice that is linked to clearly defined standards."
EDLounge Ltd. Ofsted Report 24-25 Jan. 2019

As part of the Spring 2017 Budget, the Government committed to exploring ambitious new approaches to encouraging lifelong learning and created the Flexible Learning Fund.

In March 2018, £11.7million was budgeted for 32 new projects to help adults progress in employment or enter new occupations through retraining or upskilling.

EDQuals – via the EDLounge virtual education platform – was one of the training providers chosen by the Department for Education to become part of this pilot scheme.

The announcement was made by the Rt Hon Anne Milton, MP (Apprenticeship and Skills Minister):

"I’m really excited about these projects, which will help people learn the skills they need to grow and succeed in lots of different jobs. Whether working already or returning to work, it can be difficult for people to fit training around their busy lives. This funding aims to find out how providers and employers can work together to better meet the needs of adults of all ages, who want the opportunity to learn important new skills and change their lives."
Rt Hon Anne Milton, MP (Apprenticeship and Skills Minister)

EDQuals offers individuals an easy route to essential qualifications and vocational learning. Schools, businesses and other organisations can use the platform to deliver their own in-house training for staff.

Training providers can implement a white-labelled version of EDQuals to sell their own training to their customers, and even sell their own training courses on the EDQuals platform.
